(Crassula ovata): Small size • Effortless care • Medium light

This popular succulent is often gifted do to people’s belief that it brings good fortune. It is also one of the easiest plants to grow.


Bright indirect sunlight is best for young jade plants. Mature jade plants can thrive in more sunlight.


Always assure good drainage of the soil. During spring and summer, water every 2-3 weeks, or when the top inch of soil dries out. Keep the soil below moist, but not too wet. In winter, water only once a month.


 • Temperature: Prefers temperatures between 18°C and 24°C, but can tolerate warmer temperatures.

 • Food: Use succulent fertilizer to encourage healthier growth. Use a succulent soil mix to assure proper drainage.

 • Toxicity: Jade plants are mildly toxic to humans, as well as cats and dogs
