Watermelon Peperomia

(Peperomia argyreia): Small size • Easy effort • Medium light

This plant was given its name due to its leaves which resembles the skin of a watermelon. If you are lucky, small flowers will grow on the stalks in summer.

Prefers bright, indirect sunlight. Avoid direct sunlight, which will remove the distinctive pattern of the leaves. Insufficient lighting will turn the leaves dark green.

Allow the top inch of soil to dry between waterings. The leaves will begin to droop if the plant is underwatered. Prefers high humidity levels, mist frequently.

 • Temperature: Prefers temperatures between 18°C and 27°C. Avoid temperatures below 16°C.

 • Food: Fertilize once a month during spring and summer using an indoor plant fertilizer.

 • Toxicity: Non-toxic to cats, dogs, and humans.
